london is the capital city for both the muggle and the wizarding worlds, so it should come as no surprise that wizards have managed to conquer a bit more than some shops in the area. in fact, there are some witches and wizards who live in this city full-time, many of whom are ministry employees.

essentially, this is one of the few places in the world where you would never want to see the inside of. the healers here are top-notch, but it's often the common desire that their services should not be needed.

alas, most of this fine city does indeed belong to the muggles. and while the death eaters would like to change this, general opinion is that the two worlds can live peacefully side-by-side.

between england, scotland, wales and ireland, there are plenty of places in the united kingdom for anyone to hide out and scratch a living for himself. now, though, it has become increasingly difficult to find places which can truly be called "safe," if at all.

just a hop, skip and a broom ride over the channel are all it takes to get to the rest of europe, where trouble is also brewing. an eerie feeling seems to have crept over the whole of the wizarding world, like a sort of calm before the storm.

there's a big, wide world out there, and it's ready and waiting to be explored.
